Pauline gets on her bike for critical care

A huge thank you to Pauline Dodds from Washington who raised more than £300 for our charity by taking part in the Sunderland BIG Bike Ride.

Pauline raised £340 through sponsorship, which she donated to help our Critical Care department. Her husband Ian (pictured) spent 31 days there on life support and Pauline wanted to give something back to the team.

She said: "Ian had an asthma attack and was taken to Critical Care. The way the staff looked after Ian, me and my family was fantastic. We were involved all the way and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were there with hugs."
