QE Charitable Funds celebrates NHS Big Tea

Hospital staff, fundraisers and patients enjoyed a special tea party last week to celebrate 71 years of the NHS.

QE Charitable Funds hosted the Big NHS Tea Party to recognise the contribution made by its fundraisers – last year they helped raise around £320,000 overall for our charity.

Paul Hopkinson, chair of the QE Charitable Funds Committee, said: “All of our fundraisers have contributed to wards or departments that are close to their hearts, helping to make a real difference for patients and their families at the hospital. From runs and sky dives to cakes sales and raffles, every one of them has gone the extra mile for the charity and the tea party was a great way of showing our gratitude to them all.”

Children in the hospital also joined in a very special tea party in the company of the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland, thanks to support from Make My Day Events.
